As the calendar turns to a new year, I find myself reflecting on the journey behind me and the path ahead. Each year brings an opportunity to recalibrate, to set intentions that align with who we are and where we want to go. For me, 2025 is a year to focus on building, aligning, and learning the art of letting go.
This year, my focus is on building my new business, Crown & Bliss Head Spa, into a thriving and self-sustaining operation. I want to foster a culture of excellence and care, ensuring that every client’s experience reflects the values I hold dear. Looking ahead, I am excited about the potential growth of the business and the possibilities that the future holds.
In 2024, I focused on living with integrity, ensuring that my actions were consistent with my principles. This year, I want to take that a step further by cultivating congruence—alignment between my inner self and how I show up in the world. Congruence means not only being honest with others but also being honest with myself. It’s about ensuring that my words, actions, and decisions reflect my true intentions and values. Whether in personal relationships or business interactions, I want to operate from a place of authenticity and harmony. It’s a practice that requires mindfulness and intentionality, but it’s one that I believe will bring greater peace and connection to my life.
If there’s one lesson I’ve learned time and again, it’s that control is often an illusion. This year, I want to embrace the freedom that comes with letting go. Rather than clinging to outcomes or micromanaging every detail, I want to focus on what I can control—my actions, my mindset, and my ability to adapt. Letting go doesn’t mean giving up; it means trusting the process and finding peace in the uncertainty. It’s about recognizing that I can’t control everything, and that’s okay. By releasing the need to control, I hope to make room for creativity, growth, and unexpected blessings.
Success, for me, is not about accolades or financial milestones. It’s about the love and connection I share with my family. I want my kids and grandkids to know, without a doubt, that I love them and will always be there for them, this is what consider a success. My family is my anchor, and nurturing those relationships is always a priority.
Setting intentions is one thing; living them out is another. To ensure that these intentions guide my year, I’m committing to actionable steps and sustained practices. I’ll cultivate congruence by practicing regular self-reflection through journaling and therapy. These tools will help me stay aligned with my values and ensure that my actions reflect my intentions. Open communication with those around me will also be key in fostering trust and authenticity. Letting go of control will be a daily practice. I’ll remind myself of what’s within my sphere of influence and focus my energy there. Mindfulness techniques, such as meditation and deep breathing, will help me release the rest and embrace the unknown. Finally, I’ll nurture my family relationships by spending intentional, quality time with my kids and grandkids. Whether it’s a simple phone call, a shared meal, or a day of fun together, these moments are what truly matter.
As I step into 2025, I’m filled with hope and determination. This year is a chapter of building, aligning, and letting go—a chapter of becoming. My intentions are not just resolutions; they are a commitment to living in alignment with my values and creating a life that reflects what matters most. Here’s to a year of growth, courage, and connection. May we all find the strength to build our dreams, the wisdom to align with our true selves, and the peace to let go of what we cannot control. Happy New Year!
